Look What I Received In The Mail

I must admit this photo just does not do this hook justice. It is a beautiful dark green wood and is a size 7 steel hook. I received this as a Random Act of Kindness gift. Now whether this person knows me or not I'm not sure of, but what I am sure of, is that I can't wait to get started on a project using it. I have trouble holding onto the steel hooks because of my MS. So this wooden handle will really be a huge help for me. But Jay says he can just see me in the Doctors waiting room (where I do a lot of crocheting) and instead of crocheting I would just sit there and smile and wave my hook around like a model. I'm a member of Crochet Soiree which is just a super duper place, we have a RAK group there. Then I'm also a member of Ravelry and we have a RAK group there. So that is my problem, I don't know where to put my Thank You so I'm just going to tell everybody all over the place Thank You and how much I appreciate this fantastic hook. I'm sure that it will crochet much prettier things than just my plain old steel hook would. So to the very nice and thoughtful person that has gifted me with it, if you ever want to borrow it just ask--at least that way I'll know where it came from. AgainThank You.

  1. Wow Molly that is one stupendous hook! I'm soo proud that you like it even though I'm not the one who gave it to you. Thanks for sharing it with us also 'cause it really is beautiful. I too received a gift today from an anonymous friend which was a DVD "Crochet in Stitches" which I'm just dying to start watching and practicing with. Whew we're gonna be busy aren't we?

  2. Molly, I'm glad you were able to understand my photos of the Russian join method. I was concerned that it wouldn't be easy to follow with still photos, and I don't have any way of making a video. I know you'll love it. Feel free to share the link!

Oooh, I love the hook! For quite some time I wouldn't crochet with anything but my Brittany wood hooks, but I kept losing them and they're expensive to replace. I actually use the stupid plastic ones from WalMart now and wouldn't you know, those I don't lose.

  3. What a kind person to send you that wonderful gift Molly. I hope you have great fun with it!
    Have a good weekend,
    Hugs and Love Suex
