Do you like Teddy Bears?

I am a sucker for a doll or a teddy bear.  There's no way around it,  doesn't matter that I am a Grandma,  I still like dolls and bears.  I have one little 5 yr. old g-daughter, the other g-kids are getting too big for little toys, darn it, so Avery gets stuck with whatever I make whether she likes it or not.  So she is getting this Teddy Afghan for Christmas this year and I got to thinking that maybe it wouldn't hurt if I got started on it now, you know just to be on the safe side so it would be finished in time for Christmas.  The link below has the pattern for it and it really is very simple.  But I must admit I do have one problem,  Avery's favorite colors are pink and purple.  I could see a pink bear but I'm not so sure about pink and purple, but that is what she likes so that is what she'll get.  I hope you have better colors choices than I do.  Enjoy

  1. Cute teddyghans...you must be the most organized person to start on Christmas presents now. Kudos to you!

Have a great day and thanks for the pattern link ;-)

  2. Maybe you can use different shades of the colors to give some contrast....like maybe a deeper pink and a light lavender or vice versa.... I think it will be beautiful with pink/purple. Can't wait to see it!

  4. Molly, you come up with the cutest things to crochet! With all the cutesies you make for Avery, I'll bet she will like dolls & bears always ... just like her Gramma Molly! Are you going to make a matching afghan for her dolly? You could make that one in the 'opposites' (purple where pink is, & vice versa, on Avery's 'ghan). Can't wait to see the finished product. Then again, I do NOT want Christmas to arrive too quickly. ;-)

  5. How about a pink bear with a purple bow in "her" hair? That way you have both colors she likes.

By the way, what did you use to get your scrolling widgets?

I don't know how to post, or add, or submit ANYTHING... Totally lost, and so far the little video isn't helping me. Can you help me? ~tina
