You know I have discovered that the older I get the more I get trapped into making a design so much that I realize I am hooked on it. No pun intended on the hook part there. That is the way I have become on these round ripple afghans. It always surprises me that I really don't have a color plan when I start it, I just grab one of the skeins and start working. Naturally I know what colors I am going to use I just don't know how many rows of each one and what order they will be used. So long story short (too late for that huh?) I just wanted to show y'all the latest one I had finished, and it is in pink, blue and white. It will sit here in my closet waiting for the call of a baby so it will have a new home, I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it. Okay, brag time is over, now back to work. Have a good day.

very pretty I like the colors...I have never attempted a ripple anything. I have a favorite stitch, which I suppose you could make a pattern with..the shell stich, and the when you put 5 dc or more into a stich and it rounds out I am fond of that too. We stay with what we are comfortable with and gives us pleasure...it's ok..Have a great day..in South Dakota...it is already 75 here in Northern Ohio
ReplyDeleteHi Molly, I love your blanket. It is a really neat pattern and the colours are perfect if it is for a baby... blue AND pink :-) Sam xox
ReplyDeleteMolly, I love your round ripple. I know what you mean, never knowing how many rows of what color you'll put on. This is one of my favorite patterns too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Molly and this is a wonderful Round Ripple!
ReplyDeleteYou have every right to brag - this is a very lovely afghan. I've never made a round, nor a star afghan before, but I do think they are so lovely. Nice color choices too.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Memorial Day today!
Beautiful Afghan Molly! I can see why it's your favorite. There's going to be a baby somewhere that's gonna love it's blankie.

Hello Molly,
ReplyDeleteI just love this ripple. Nothing like a ripple and I've always wanted to have a go at a round one. I love the colours you've used. I'm sure you will be able to give it as a gift very soon.
Love to you,
Suex
How pretty! I really need to do a ripple. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. I have never made a round one!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly,
ReplyDeleteMy daughter picked y0ur name out as the winner of my giveaway. I am a bit concerned that my crochet efforts fall way short of yours and that you will be disappointed with the bag that I have nearly finished! However, I hope that you will still like it. Could you please email me your snail mail address so that I can sent it to you.
Best wishes
Andrea

ReplyDeleteHi Molly! LOVE your sweet ripple baby blanket! Just picked up some cotton yarns today, to get started on my Hot Pad Roundup project! I really need to place an order soon though, because I NEVER have the right GREEN for these projects! Glad I don't need it for this month's CAL challenges! Oh, and before I forget, I just emailed you! ~tina
