Finished Another Project

I just couldn't stand it, I had to start another project even though I am working on a cap that matches my scarf.  I can't help it, I must have at least 2 or 3 things going at the same time or it drives me crazy.  I am bad about getting bored working on the same thing so that's why if I take a break from that project I need something else to work on.  My poor little brain is so easily confused that it needs all the help I can give it.

Anyway, I started on my washcloth yesterday and finished it up today.  I used Sugar 'n Cream in variegated shades of blue and made it using the hdc and the cross hdc stitch.  I worked 2 rows of regular hdc and then 2 rows of crossed hdc,  I really like the way it turned out,  I may have to make some more and add them to my gift suitcase. I know that sounds goofy but I took a big suitcase and turned it into a place to save all my gifts that will fit in there.  Pretty soon I may have to get another suitcase because this one is really getting full.

Sharlene over at  http://solarcookingathome.blogspot.com/   gave me a very good tip a while back.   She makes a crocheted pocket and adds it to the back of her washcloths, then there is a place to put a very nice bar of soap, whether it is for her own use or added in when she gives it as a gift.  I thought that was so clever,  I think I'm going to have to grab that idea and do it myself.

Below is a photo of the washcloth that I just finished, minus the pocket, I'll show you that when I get it added.  Take care and have a great day.

  1. You have really inspired me to get going and do up some of those washcloths. I have just the yarn too. Thanks.

  2. Well girl, you are really on the ball! I'm still quilting these blasted swirls on Libby's quilt. I thought I was headed down the 4th and last side, but found out this morning I'm only working on the 3rd side. Bleh.

  3. I really don't have the time right now but I've got to get busy on some crochet. I really want to do that hooded scarf you made last year. It looked so good on you that it inspired me. I'm gonna keep on and have a cold head this Winter when I could have a hooded scarf like yours. boo hoo.

  4. That's one of the places I keep my crocheted items. I have this huge suitcase my dad gave me the last time I went to Germany and now it houses all my little crocheted items. There's no reason a suitcase should sit empty when not in use. Even if I didn't crochet, I'd fill it up with stuff. I have a small apartment and need to use every single unoccupied space.
