These are called Twinkling Stars, they are sort of a Granny Square turned into a star. They also work up very fast, these I am going to make to hang on a friends tree. I don't know if you can see it or not but I made 2 stars out of thread just to see how they would look. One is white and the other is gold, I guess they turned out okay but I really like the yarn ones much better. Plus they are much faster and are easier on these old eyes. Here is the link to both patterns and I hope you have as much fun making them as I did. Although, I must admit I'm not through yet. Take care everyone

Granny Christmas Tree
Isn't this the cutest Christmas Tree? It took me about 5 minutes to make this. It would have been nice if I had blocked it or at least straightened it up a little bit before I took the picture, but i'm not one to pay attention to what I am doing all the time. Does that surprise anybody here? I didn't think so. 8>) I think I am going to make a bunch of these to add to the gifts we have to mail down to Texas. The only other thing I can think to do is add a star button to the top of it and I think that will be just perfect. Okay, on to the next photo.

Ver nice Molly. I think a star on the tree would be great. It's so much fun to be able to have little things attached to the presents. It really adds to them. Cute snowflakes. Love the different colours.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is cute and would look great with a star button sewn on top. I just love the little snowflake stars. You come up with the neatest things.

ReplyDeleteAs always you find and make the cutest things. Hope all is well with you and you have a nice Thanksgiving. I am swimming 4-5 times a week now and I feel out of touch. No blogging or interaction with all of you for quite some time.
Hugs and Loves
